Where Truffles Grow
Culinary truffles are native to Europe. Truffles can be cultivated in Australia in specific environments, preferring well-drained, alkaline soils and temperate climates with distinct seasons. At Baarmutha Truffles, our treasures grow nestled among the roots of oak trees in the pristine, cool-climate region of Beechworth, Victoria. This unique local terroir, with its crisp winters and hot dry summers, provides the perfect climate for producing premium black truffles of exceptional depth and aroma.
